Our Story
The story of WantedStuff.com began in 2001.
At a time when online classifieds were still relatively new, we had a simple idea: what if people could advertise what they wanted instead of having to search through endless advertisements for something that might not even be listed?
And that's how WantedStuff.com began.
The original website was created specifically around Wanted Ads — giving people a place to say:
"I'm looking for this."
The idea proved popular. People posted genuine Want Ads for all kinds of items, and others were able to respond because they had exactly what someone was looking for, knew where to find it, or could provide the service required.
For us, that was the appeal of WantedStuff from the beginning.
It wasn't simply about buying and selling.
It was about connecting people who were looking with people who could help.
What Happened to the Original Site?
Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control eventually resulted in the loss of the original WantedStuff.com domain.
For a period of time, the service continued under another domain, but it never had the same identity or recognition as the original WantedStuff.com.
After many years, we were finally able to reclaim WantedStuff.com.
That gave us the opportunity to bring the original name back and rebuild the idea from the ground up using modern technology, while keeping the same basic concept that started it all back in 2001.
